Robert Abrams Erik Novoa and Laura Cozik (www.swingshoes.net) hosted their regular monthly West Coast Swing and Hustle party at Empire Dance. This dance takes place every third Friday of the month. Admission is $12. They play about 80% songs that can work for both West Coast Swing and Hustle, and 20% songs that work for one or the other. The evening started with a beginner lesson from Arte Phillips at 8 pm, and then general dancing until 12:30 am. Empire Dance serves EANABs (Equally Attractive Non-Alcoholic Beverages), but no alcohol. There were enough people give everyone a variety of partners for the night. The event had a fun vibe.
