Dance Manhattan (www.dancemanhattan.com, 212-807-0802) and the Hudson River Park Trust (www.hudsonriverpark.org) hosted a West Coast Swing night at Pier 25 in New York City. Ron Sunshine and Full Swing played live music all night. Robert and Nicola Royston gave a performance. Robert is a four time US Open Swing champion. Robert and Nicola's performances are always great. They lived up to their reputation with many lifts and drops and an abundance of style. It was a great night for dancing by the water. Food and drink is available for purchase at the event.
The event is free. The event starts at 6:30 pm with a lesson. Live music starts at 7:15 pm. The event ends at 10 pm.
Pier 25 is at North Moore Street and the Hudson River. Take the subway to Chambers Street and walk west. Cross West Street and turn right (north).
The remaining events include Tango on August 7 with Eternal Tango, a Latin night on August 14 with Los Hermanos Colon, and Swing on August 21 with George Gee and the Jump Jive and Wailers.
