Moulin Rouge

The song and dance review at the Moulin Rouge was an incredible spectacular. The endless parade of costumes covering, or sometimes barely covering, sixty dancing girls was worth the price of admission by itself. There were fanciful headdresses of golden spokes and silver wings. There was much glitter and beads and feathers and more feathers, sometimes in the form of wings complete with self illumination that were strapped to the girls backs. The dancing, which was enthusiastic, occasionally made way for a specialty act, such as acrobats, a ventriloquist and a woman swimming with snakes in a large tank that rose from the stage floor. The show has no plot in the tradition of cabaret reviews. The energy from the stage kept the audience going until late in the night.

The Moulin Rouge is a large space, but it sells out, so you need to make reservations well in advance.
