Nachos and Salmon at Jake's Saloon

Robert Abrams and I had dinner at Jake's Saloon on 23rd street in New York City. I knew that name of the restaurant because I had seen it on ExploreDance.com. Jake's Saloon smelled good when we walked in. It gives you that Cheers feeling. I love the dÈcor, the old tin ceiling, the tiffany lights and the dark wood. Aaron, the waiter, remembered Robert's name from the last time Robert was at Jake's Saloon. Aaron used to work at Swing 46, and remembered Robert from there too. The service was fast and friendly, which was a good thing since we only had an hour between West Coast Swing dance classes and had to get from Dance Manhattan on 19th street to Jake's Saloon, have dinner and get back. The beer tasted good. Robert had the salmon, which he said had just the right amount of char to give it excellent taste. The salsa was very fresh. It was homemade with real cilantro. Jake's Saloon is a restaurant I would come back to.
