Weekend Dance Party at Tavern on the Green

Tavern on the Green threw another fabulous party on Friday night. Tonight the DJ played a wide mix of music, including foxtrot, waltz, hustle, salsa, Argentine tango, and more. The weather was perfect. The dance floor filled up with people and energy.

I had the single cut roast beef for dinner. I don't eat red meat that often but tonight I was craving it. The meal was very well prepared and the portions were generous.

In addition to the usual dancing and drink specials and enchanted atmosphere, there were three extra special happenings going on. Vox Vodka was promoting their vodka and several other brands of alcohol. The beautiful Vox Vodka girls were handing out coupons for free drinks, key chains and very strong mints. I tried the Vox and thought it was very smooth. Vox is worth a try (just remember that if you are drinking and dancing to do so responsibly). The Vox Vodka girls were pretty smooth on the dance floor too.

Elimidate, a popular dating TV show where one guy (in this case) starts out dating about five women and slowly narrows his choices to one, was filming an episode. Tonight the guy on the show was dancing with two women at once, surrounded by video cameras, and lots of support staff sporting headsets and clipboards. He, the two women and the video crew did their thing in the middle of a crowded dance floor without displacing people who just wanted to do their own dancing.

Women's Night Out was also at the party. They and everyone else looked like they were having a great time, as you can tell from the photos below.
