Millennium Hustle is a monthly party hosted by Lori Brizzi and Bernard Martinez. The room had a lot of energy, even though it was August and there were fewer people there than usual because many people leave town in August. They play a mix of Hustle, West Coast Swing and Salsa. The people are very friendly and light refreshments are served. A variety of styles of Hustle were on display - everything from very smooth to acrobatic.
If you are into Hustle, you should check this party out.
And don't forget that Lori and Bernard (as well as Paul and Eleny, Maria Torres, and Roma Moon) are organizing a Hustle contest and a Salsa contest (amateur couples only). There will be three preliminary contest sites: Dancesport (1845 Broadway at 60th street) on August 19 starting at 9:30 pm, Stepping Out (37 West 26th Street, 9th floor) on August 28 starting at 9:30 pm, and You Should Be Dancing (412 8th Ave, 4th floor, at 31st Street) on September 6 starting at 9 pm. The finals will be held at Ballroom on Fifth on September 7 starting at 9 pm.
