The Gotham Swing Club is one of the key efforts that keeps the passionate New York City area West Coast Swing community vibrant. Every year the club holds a free day where members can participate in group lessons, debate the issues facing our dance form, eat a meal together and dance together in a big party. This year the lessons were taught at Dance Manhattan by Jason Colacino, Arte Phillips and John Lindo. The party was a lot of fun, as the pictures below make clear. The new board of the club showed that they understand the challenges facing West Coast Swing (and partner dance generally) in New York City. With their leadership and your participation, we can expect great accomplishments this year.
