Tonight George Gee celebrated day 1 of his birthday week at Il Campanello Ristorante (136 West 31st Street, New York, NY). There was a good crowd. His music inspired me to stop thinking and just dance. I had a great time. Everyone else appeared to as well. There were people there who came from as far away as Philadelphia just for this party. Those poor people at the Boston Tea Party don't know what they were missing.
George will be celebrating throughout the week, with his usual Tuesday night gig at Swing 46 (he'll be 46 at Swing 46!) and capping it off on the actual day of his birthday (Friday, March 31) with a performance in Washington, D.C. For more George Gee, check out his website at www.georgegee.com.
