Jorge Navarro and and friends gave a strong and impassioned performance tonight.

The singer/dancer is La Conja (her web site is www.laconja.com). The guitarist is Pedro Cortes (he has a web site - www.canastero.com). The young, emerging dancers are Maria De Los Angeles and Elena De LeŪn. The performance name is "PasiŪn Flamenca" and runs from September 9 - October 1st, and now also features dancer Leslie Roybal.

In October, dancer Antonio Hidalgo and Nelida Tirado will be performing ... and after that ... a very special guest dancer from Spain.

You can catch the show at Alegrias En La Nacional every Friday and Saturday night at 239 West 14th Street, 2nd Floor in New York City. La Nacional is a Spanish cultural institution, so many of the people who show up do speak Spanish, but like the people in Madrid, they are always friendly no matter what language you speak.
