Reba Perez and associates threw a great party at Empire Dance. The evening started with a dance lesson. There were refreshments and many people to dance with. A fair number of the people were there as part of an event organized by The Lunch Club. While I have been to many Empire Dance events (and other events organized by Reba Perez and colleagues, such as the House of Latin Dance), this was the first Lunch Club event I had attended. This combined event created a prototype for what might be the perfect dance social: an event where people both dance and talk to each other. I have subsequently been to several Lunch Club events that have lived up to its premise of meeting new people in a safe environment.

Empire Dance offers instruction in many styles of dance. Some of the Empire Dance instructors and students put on a show during the party, as can be seen in the photos below.
