The Copacabana is an exciting Club for Salsa, Merengue, and the best Tropical bands in the Northeast. Other spaces exist at the Copacabana for more contemporary dance. The Copacabana organizes Tropical Thursdays and weekly Salsa Boat Rides.
Tonight, The Spanish Harlem Orchestra, winners of a 2005 Grammy Award, performed for listening and for dancing. The Copa guests crowded the stage to get a better look at this traditional and very professional Latin band. Paco, Host, set an energetic tone to the festivities with his lively welcome, and the Copa felt like an intimate party, instead of a large impersonal Club. Visit the Copacabana Website for details of upcoming music and events. Tell them you saw them on ExploreDance.com.
